a better title didn't come to me in time
As we dive deeper into the dumbest timeline possible, I wanted to share my thoughts on the week so far. Keep in mind it is 3pm on Wednesday but…with this administration that is about 7 years of stupidity.
Exhibit A—
World renowned puppy slayer, Kristi Noem, decked out in full tactical gear to “assist” raids in the super super dangerous Arlington Virginia. Yes, THAT Arlington. The same Arlington that has a recognized as one of the SAFEST counties in America. Don’t believe me…ask the dishes:

State of Delusion
Apparently there was a speech yesterday. And NO it was not a State of the Union— you don’t do that in your first year, it is a joint address but whatever.
I didn’t watch. I watched the State of the People 24-hour livestream. Minus a few tech hiccups it was great to hear from actual leaders who are trying to do something.
Speaking of actual leaders…this pic goes hard.
Rep. Al Green was removed from the chamber for ‘disrupting’ the speech to argue for the preservation of medicaid.
Oh…you didn’t know that was what he stood for? Probably because the news just wanted to make a headline of ‘dems acting out’ but he actually had a much stronger point.
Strangely enough, the Free Speech Warriors had him removed for…speech. Weird how that works.
I also had a flashback to a popular TikTok sound last year…

But who is the THEY in this scenario…well it started with the “YOU LIE” guy

Not Trying To Hide It
Another piece that went unnoticed but not by all of us was the open love from the orange one and Chief Justice Roberts. He, in the open, thanked him for all of his victories.
I remember a certain Black president saying something about justices and everyone got all up in their feelings.
It’s cool when they d….nvm.
But how wild is it that we have a president with 34 felonies and multiple indictments and crimes just…wiped away?
But Where are the Leaders
Aside from Al Green and champions like Reps. Crockett and Ocasio-Cortez, what are the dem ‘leaders’ really doing to stand up for us and move the needle forward.
I went on a text rant this morning (my apologies Olivia Krauth ) about the dearth of leadership we currently see. Like… why be an elected if you don’t do something for the people. There are a lot of things you can do besides tweet and post on social media in this moment. Will it all make you look cool online? No. Can you do something to provide direction? Provide some help? YES.
One thing missing in this moment is people willing to do something. Hopefully this changes. Until then…
