My favorite city in the United States…maybe anywhere is Chicago Illinois.
From the unique architecture, to the great food, the lovely beaches (yes beaches) and the beautiful lake— I love that place.
I go often and always hope to be there more.

Not To Be a Party Pooper
My mom’s birthday is next week. For a present, I booked a trip to take her to my favorite place for the first time. She has never seen the city or one like it.
This has been a LONG time coming and took a LOT of convincing.
And then…
The orange clown just couldn’t sit down, could he?
Because of this…the trip might be off. Money..out the window. But a trip to a place heavy with militarized racism just isn’t worth it.
It makes me sad.
I have always wanted to share this part of me and now might have to pass on that. All because the little colorful man is scared of people who aren’t white.
